In this series, we are giving you a peek at our lives outside the office!
Hi there, I’m Stephanie! I’ve been doing real estate for nearly a decade — wow! Here’s a typical day in my life.
6:30 am — Time to get up and moving. I have three tween-age daughters, so you can bet we need all the time we can get to them out the door for school in the morning.
8:30 am — After getting the girls out the door, I walk to one of my two favorite neighborhood coffee shops, Coffeeology or Choffey’s for a latte, and then head into our downtown Delaware office.
9:00 am — In our amazing office space and ready to tackle the day! It’s so hard to describe what a typical day is like because every day is different, but we often have a team meeting to share any updates and inspire each other for the day ahead.
10:00 am — Show a client a new home that just came on the market in Powell. Client loves it and we write up an offer on-site!
12:00 pm — Meet with potential sellers to discuss the comparable listings I’ve pulled for them and review my suggested list price. I answer their questions, and we set a date to list the house.
1:00 pm — Immediately call my professional photographer to set up photos of the house so we can get it on the market ASAP.
1:30 pm — Quick break for lunch. Today, it’s a soup and salad from Chelley Belly across the street from my office space.
2:00 pm — Catch up on emails before picking up the kids.
3:00 pm — Grab the girls from school and settle them in at the office to do their homework while I respond to the offer my buyers made earlier in the day. The seller wants to negotiate, so I call my buyers and we figure out our best price and resubmit.
3:30 pm — Start working on all the listing details from the new listing. Getting excited to list this beauty!
4:30 pm — Show a potential first-time buyer a few great homes in their desired area.
6:00 pm — Dinner time! It was a busy day, so we have takeout from Northstar Cafe… again. 😉
7:00 pm — Still haven’t heard if our buyers’ offer was accepted, so I sneak in a quick 30-minute workout on my at-home exercise bike.
7:30 pm — Woohoo! Jumped off the bike and an email is waiting for me: offer accepted! I call my buyers and we all do a little happy dance and discuss next steps.
8:00 pm — The kids are outside playing with the neighbors, so I walk across the street to visit with their parents and watch the sunset. I just love this neighborhood.
9:00 pm — Wrangle the kids inside, get everyone’s teeth brushed and hair combed and tucked into bed.
10:00 pm — Ahhhhh. Netflix on the couch with my pups, cat and husband. What a beautiful life.
